Playback
Edison Diamond Discs were designed to play ONLY on an Edison phonograph with a floating weight reproducer and diamond stylus. If they are played on a phonograph designed for thin shellac 78 rpm records (with a disposable steel needle, such as Victor or Columbia), damage will be inevitable.
Edison Phonographs are sometimes found modified to play shellac 78s; always carefully check the stylus before playing!
